*the last hour of my life*

if you seem to see a shadow in your room at night
coming closer looking into your eyes
breathing near your lips
you should know
it is the one from my pillow
searching the way through the winter fog
with the wings of scarlet on the breeze of frozen air
a shadow on a loosing road looking for a direction
a sign a symbol
waiting to drown into the sapphire lakes of your glance
to remain in the softness of that shelter
and for the last hour of my life
whisper to you from your own depth…

  1. This is excellent.
All though there seems to be a bit of tragedy in this poem it is told with a great sense of beauty

  2. Now if I had the last hour to spend on earth I too would be that shadow seeking the love from eyes that held me captive.. …. and I would beg them to breathe life into me once more… Love to you dear friend xx

  3. Sorry I haven’t been around for a while. Seems I have a lot to catch up on here.
This however is beautiful and haunting and in some ways very sad and emotional..
Hope you are well x :o)
