EclipseOfTheMoon

From the Pocket of a Dream

*The Path of No Return*

(image by lars van de goor)

A shadow dressed in black among the trees of my mind
leaned on the tree bark lit by the moonlight
Every night is a reminder
every thought is yours
As a punishment this circle goes on
The nightmare turns to sweetness
a passion an addiction a drug
It takes away the other ghosts
that wound around as snakes
with their hollow shapes and voices of threat
The nightmare in which I am giving the answer
a promise to my own soul
a whisper of forgetting the world
To live in the tale weaved by the threads of gold
to take the path of no return
not looking back
but accept the invite from the other side
from the valley of forbidden desires

We should never look back, only forward to that which we all step into..Sometimes only the shadows of our own minds cast the darkness like vines that cling to us, allowing he doubts to surface, enabling it to hold us in its fearful grip.. Often we let it spin us in circles coming back to that which we fear in letting go…. its always darkest before the Dawn light… IF we let those threads of gold light filter through the canopy of our thoughts… Love and blessings.. xx

Wow, i like the dark aspect of this otherwise beautifully told poem.
That picture is awesome too, such a sense of foreboding
