*Castle*
Have you seen my castle in the night
The most beautiful tower
in the depth of my Dream
built with the stones of Love
Have you seen the candles in my windows
showing you the way Home
from your dark travels
while I’m waiting in the doorway
for you to come
You are tired and sleepy
illuminated with the pale moonlight
Just a moments until the dawn
just in time before the sunrise
entering the safety
of our precious darkness
Behind our walls
Behind our windows
with the black lace curtains always on

a castle as a safe haven, wonderfully done
I liked the vision of the candles buring in the windows. Very, attention getting, I enjoyed MUCH!
Innate. I am loving the ambiance of this piece. My potluck: http://verseinanutshell.wordpress.com/2011/05/16/protect/
Loved the dark, intimate hideaway place, a respite for any traveller and the soft invite in the lines-“while I’m waiting in the doorway
for you to come” -lovely!
What a castle you have here! I love the intimate feeling of it!
