From the Pocket of a Dream

*Never Look Back*

At the other side of the screen
I could see through
the broken window of one soul
He was trapped inside his suit of pain
wishing for nothing more
than to undo
He was wearing a perfume of grief
still captured into the embrace
of some paper memories
A fragrance of the past

I wished him to stand up
to rise from the chair of sadness
He did hear my thoughts
He washed off the strange scent
from the neck of one lifeless memory
Through the same window
I can see the torn pages
lying under his feet

I could see the image you painted with your words so clearly, and you made me feel the sadness within his soul.. Excellent..

Wonderful poem, I know it is hard to give up those paper memories, but it is good to know that people are there who care enough to make us stand up. I love the imagery and the flow
