EclipseOfTheMoon

From the Pocket of a Dream

*Love Is A Stone*

Love means understanding
The understanding of words
the decoding of glances
gestures and the silence
Love is a burning
and a cooling
The fire in giving and getting
the ice of calming
Love means always
and never
To embrace the truth
no matter how heavy it is
To ignore  the mistakes
that sometimes threat to sneak out
from the fogs of the past

Love means laughing
It is a tear it is a smile
It cries and celebrates
Love demands sharing
carrying of each other’s griefs
sorrows that may lie along the road
Yet
the requirement is easy like a dew
on the rose petals of one’s heart

Love is the state of mind
the state of heart
A hope
of never having to be sorry
A promise of being sorry a lot
It is a contradition
and the confirmation

Love is a stone
at the entrance of forever

can’t be said any better Eclipse… love is the most beautiful yet the strangest of feelings as well.

Your words are truthful. I might add: “Love is a mesh that catches us gently as we are.”

So true, and so beautifully written, except maybe one more thing … ? … and that is, this kind of Love doesn’t work unless it’s mutual … and then there is all that Soulmate stuff … any advice? Love and admiration, cat.
