From the Pocket of a Dream

*Love Is A Child*

left on the bench of silence
behind us
forgotten upon the path
of everyday

It still waits
somewhere alone
and maybe wonder
as an lost child
not knowing where to go
among the strange people

Once upon the time
it had a smile on its lips
it had sparkles in the eyes
Along with tears
they both rolled
down the cheek
The emptiness within
became a place
dedicated to the power of fear

Left on the bench of silence
love has to endure
Just as a child
it has to pass through
the deceptive illusion
of one bad dream

wonderful analogy comparing love to a child waiting to be noticed and cherished for what it is…unconditional with uncomplicated reactions to life’s ups and downs. love it

Love must be nurtured … held gently and it will forever grow within us. Beautiful look at such a complex subject.

Yes, love has to go through many stages of growth to eventually become what it is meant to be. It’s never always smoothe.
    Lovely prose once again. !~!~!

” Love has to endure..Just as a child it has to pass through the deceptive illusion of one bad dream”…

Love crosses many barriers of highs and lows, and if we could all but be as the Child, live for the moment and see through eyes of innocence before the tears left their traces..
You always give me much to think about Eclipse.. another wonderful entry
