*A Forgotten Melody*

These strange strings
from the distance
playing silently
Like inside a mirror
full of magic
the reflection flows
slowly
from the soul’s very core
An awakening
of a memory that slept
so selfishly
saved
under the pillow of a dream
Deep
under the blankets
of my most secret fantasy
Hidden
within a shell
at the ocean’s bottom

Its task was
to keep the eyes shut
and never look up
Its task was
cruel
Yet
The desire was
stronger
One gentle touch
I could swear
I felt
fingers
through the hair
A moment
of flight
A moment of love
playing
a forgotten melody
A moment
like a wink of the eye

For just a second
Its life was real
