EclipseOfTheMoon

From the Pocket of a Dream

*Into The Light*

A thousand days from now
the story is told
I can see
There is a rocking chair
on the porch
a book on the table
roses in a vase
I can see leaves
in a dance
whirling in the backyard
drunk of the wind´s essence
Our seagulls are back
screaming
flying in joy
Called by the spring
they escaped the darkness
tempted by a new journey
And I remember
your words

The gulls are us

A thousand days from now
the story is finally told
We have flown
into the light

This was a glorious piece, eclipse. Love the imagery and the picture you used (although this post is good enough that it doesn’t even need a picture!). 🙂

This is an especially beautiful poem my dear Eclipse. I too am fond of seagulls…birds, butterflies and dragon/damsel flies facinate me. Seagulls are our State bird here in Utah. 😀

    I love that verse….
    “A thousand days from now
    the story is finally told
    We have flown
    into the light”

    Love to fly…. Rx
