*A Gift*

A Gift

Because of the sun
that rose
after an exhausting darkness.
Because of all the years
spent
within a deaf crater of insensitivity.
All the years.
In a long wait.

Because of a breath of passion
at one dawn
and because of one heart.
The heart who dared
to give away all it ever had
for just a stranger.
For the one
who happened to touch
a fragile glassy wall
of an another’s life,
with the own palms sore of scars,
giving up the search for a healing.

Because of
the coincidence.
Or because of a purpose.
Will we ever know?

Because of all that
I am giving away these words,
curled around my heart.
Clinging
as twigs in a forest
deeply in love with their trees.

Because of the coincidence
or a purpose.
It doesn’t really matter.
These words are yours to keep.
