From the Pocket of a Dream

*The Last Sunset*

as a fish
but dropped
out from the fisherman’s net
she tried to follow
wet marks
leading into the sea
of true emotions

as a fish
writhing in pain
until the breath killed her gills
she never made it

as a dying fish
upon a dry land
she could only admire love from the distance
before she closed her eyes
along with the sunset

Beautiful in all its lostness. I’m happy for you that this hopefully belongs to the past.

Also I thought I had written another comment here about the TT poetry you wrote. If it did not come through please let me know. It did say it was awaiting moderation so it could be in there somewhere.

    God bless.

You’ve brought out the pain of unrequited love very well. I love your comparison with the fish. Beautiful imagery, and very heartfelt words

Eclipse — this was very touching … you evoke emotions with your great choice of words, layout and image. Thank you for sharing! 🙂

Love the look of your site – I am sorry it’s been awhile since my last visit. I have been traveling for the past couple of months and I am far behind with catching up with everyone. Many blessings ~~ becca
