From the Pocket of a Dream

Abyss Of Sleep

Tonight I would like to share with you a very poignant and impressive poem written by an extremely talented poetess I’ve recently met…

How Terrible It Is

How terrible it is to not care at all

For years, I looked in those eyes

Like I was seeing the celestial bodies,

Succulent and bursting each time I blinked

Holding those calloused hands

As if I’ve gathered all the stars in heaven

We took all the clangors in the world

And impaled it in the chambers of our hearts

Our scents lingered in the air

every time we left our trysting place

Now I’m seeing barren fields of eternity

fading to black in those empty eyes

The nights are full of stars again

for they’ve slipped away in our hands

But the world remains restless and silent

And how could it not be?

All the festive noise died with our hearts

and we’ve thrown away the keys

Our shadows haunt each place we’ve been

But then I do not care but I’m still trapped

How terrible it is

Beautiful poem from Simone … ” Our Shadows Haunt each place that we’ve been”…. how true.. not a place on earth is free from Mans scars..
as we wound each other along with Mother Earth..
    Excellent poem from your friend..

I apologize for the hit and run. I’ve been working on this all day.

I have officially shanghaied you; I mean nominated you for the esteemed Versatile Blogger’s Award!

Please go here to pick up your Award: http://leoutlandosdamour.wordpress.com/about/

I hope you take to time to check out some of my other nominees if you don’t know them already, and please check out my new friend Charlotte’s blog. As most of you know, I don’t really do this type of thing, but I stumbled upon her blog by accident doing this Halloween guestbook signing for another friend and well, what can I say, I felt obligated. She trusted me, of all people, yeah, and nominated me and she does these really great water-color portraits. If nothing else, please stop by her blog, that would mean a lot to me.

I hope you enjoy my little “awards show.” I got to play around and be sarcastic and as most of you know–I loooooooooooove to do that.

    Thank you & Happy Halloween!
