EclipseOfTheMoon

From the Pocket of a Dream

*Chains*

Each one of us
carries a pain

It can feel like
having ice
on the palm of the hand
when fingers
become numb
and warmth is no more

It can feel like
having a needle
in the chest
when you do not dare
to breathe
fearing
it would dig even deeper
and stay forever
in the core of the heart

Or
it can be like
feeling the licks of flame
yet
with no chance
to escape the pyre you are on
bound by the chains of steel
those gaping plagues
of the past

We all carry a pain
I see no solace in that

The path of sorrow, and that path alone, leads to the land where sorrow is unknown; no traveler ever reached that blessed abode who found not thorns and briars in his road.

Such sadness and pain you have captured in this poem Eclipse. We learn from all our experiences be they pain, sorrow, forgiveness, joy etc.
    Love it, my friend.
I hope you and Stefan are enjoying this festive season and looking forward to the New Year.
    Blessings of Love and Hope,

    Hi Eclipse! 🙂

Thanks for the visit and comment! 🙂

Hanne died some 14 years ago now on the floor of her grandmother’s kitchen as a result of a massive stroke.

Part of her remains with me always as do so many others.

Maybe I’ll find a replacement one day, but until I change my medication it’s going to have to wait…

Love, hugs and Merry Christmas! 🙂

    Prenin.

You sure know how to capture Pain with the pen Eclipse.. as I feel the stab of your emotional thoughts …. We all to often carry the burden of Pain longer than we need to.. as we hold it like a comfort blanket close to our chests carressing our lips in its memory..

Love and light be with your thoughts and Dreams Eclipse for your words hold much truth for many, myself included.. xxxxx Be always Happy my beautiful friend.. xxx

Pain is a teacher. We are in pain because we need to learn something from it, emotionally, mentally, it teaches us to grow. Yes, I do think we’re all in pain, but, some of us learn to accept what is and then free themselves, until the next pain comes along. Lovely, lovely piece again.

Pain confines us and sometimes we can’t see a way out of it. Pain wants more pain. This is beautiful.
