*For A Moment*
If you’ve ever leaned
over the edge of a cliff
while the raging waves
below
tore the shore
while the salty drops
jumped
through the air
still a bit frozen
after a long weary winter
then you know
all about
the chilly wind of March
and his untamed breath
Like
a playful child
of the oncoming season
he is caught within your hair
giggling of joy
teasing
tickling
just to a second later
leave you
for the dry twigs
that shyly protrude
from the still dormant sand
down by the sea
If your glance
ever got stuck
upon the enchanting canvas
of the newborn spring
at evenings
there
at the horizon’s end
If you could sense
the scent
of just awakened pines
from the woods
then you know
all about freedom
When wishes go wild
and for a moment
it feels
like limits are no more
Then you know
how it is
to be poisoned by the beauty
while your unrest fades
and the pain seems to be gone
For a moment
Short
Fragile
Yet priceless
Until the spell is broken
Until
reality comes
taking you back

Love this different view on spring … the untamed breath of March winds. May they blow any pain away.
Hugs, Martin
Thank you for sharing this piece, Strong imagery, as such I felt I was actually there…
Another captivating poem Eclipse.. that took me to the edge of the cliff within that storm… I felt its tingle as I felt the calm.. I know too what that feels like when the spell is broken, and we are pulled back from the edge to face reality.. I close my eyes in the peace of tranquil moments as the winds still blows through my own hair.. But we stand strong and hold oursleves proud.. for tomorrow is another day to do battle with any storm that passes our way… as we revel in the rainbows of today.. Love and Light be upon you and yours.. Always my dear friend. xx Dreamwalker xx
We still have snow here. Quite a storm on Thursday. It ended yesterday but we had a small dusting of it again this morning. I for one will be so pleased to see it gone.
Loved your March prose. Yes, it teases with a touch of spring but can quickly drop us back into winter again. But, being by the water is a lovely place to forget reality for a while.
Lovely write~! 🙂
May we all remain strongly attached to the reality …. and find the beauty of spring even in the coldest winter … Lovely!
Reality can be so needy sometimes.
Lovely 🙂
