*In A Day Like This*

In a day like this

In a flow
of a million of thoughts
crossing the mind
in all their peculiarity
that successfully
make their marks
inculcating them
into the fleshy corridors
of intentions

In the middle of it
many paths seems blurred

Amid the question
how much more
there is behind the wall
in wait

A new punch
Another setback

In a day like this
an answer
to the darkened thought
that calm
A solace
A reminder:

Even in pain
there at least are feelings
as life
can be felt
and holds
what death never could

The last stanza is stolen from another poem, which, due to its significant  message,
gave rise to this one… in a day like this…

So…if you wish, here’s more to read….

  1. So true. Love, life and pain are irrevocably entwined.

  2. This is so sad but, so beautiful. My understanding is that the subject is being beaten as she strives to get life ‘right’ and she has become so used to it she sees the pain as a pleasure because it reminds her she is still alive. Hope I’ve gotten it right. I read your Poet Stefan, they are both lovely.
I always tell my teen, dying is inevitable. From the moment of our birth, we are destined to die, it’s what we do between those two dates that matters most, isn’t it?
    Lovely writing.

    • I like your interpretation Daydreamer, very much true that you said about the lifetime, unfortunatelly….In spite that it sounds impossible – let’s hope it will change some day 🙂
Thank you for reading my dear friend

  4. Very nice. love how the piece flows in it’s oration, structure and tone. letters that calm unknowingly/make their marks inculcating them/even in pain there are at least feelings- outstanding lines. I know the last stanza you borrowed, but you brought it’s essence out in a fresh way as it is accompanying your own words. Very nicely done. Thanks

  5. for a moment, there was a day like this hanging in between pearls of time necklace
in meantime the poet had been giving out his thoughts and feelings
and a new moment was born, like an essence of flower touched by a sunbeam becomes eternity
    – there must be a love

    salute to poetess&poet 🙂
