*A Bird With Two Hearts*

Captured
behind the invisible bars
inside a blur of a mirror
a bird with two hearts
mourned the dead

The night was velvet
her wings were torn

Her mind wandered
across burning bridges
it strayed
beyond the sense

She sung in blindness
she trembled the grief

Yet no tears
to shed
Just a remembrance
to bleed

Inside a blur of a mirror
a bird with two hearts
sings more quietly

Her eyes are closed
Her hearts are stones

Her voice
got broken at dawn
