*An Unknown Taste*

Somewhere
along the time-line
a halfway to the edge
in the middle of a lost memory
there is a message in a magic bottle
smiling from its delightfully dark waters

It
touches the soul
spreading the fresh winds
calming the heat of an ugly distress
A sudden shadow on the restless surface of the ocean

One
solved mistery
reveal itself within
an imaginary bottle of searching
Years of misunderstanding begin to leak
rolling down like the sand grains inside the hourglass

They
disappear slowly
into the vanity of past times
This heart is still afraid of giving in
still scared of letting go of its frozen home

Yet
it needs to sense
some warm licks of the inviting fire
to absorb to keep the sweetness of an unknown flavour

The lovely taste of
Life

  1. Before you, I never realized words could paint so well 😉

  2. Very interesting with a smooth flow!

What form of poetry does this fall under?

  3. Wonderful! I’m so glad I found your blog! I’m stopping by from the A to Z challenge and I look forward to visiting again.

  4. Wow, I am speechless. This poem is so deep, and so well written. I think we all feel pain, and somewhere we start to fear life, happiness in a way. But yes, we need to let the warmth touch us, as there is always warmth, we just need to be patient and let it find us. Wonderful poem!

  5. Have a wonderful Easter my dear friend. I have not been blogging much of late but will return soon. Do take good care of yourself.
    hugs and smiles,
    Ravenx
